Completed another haul of 200 + miles of real rain and it made it dry with an antique dresser and mirror untouched by water. The new owner was happy to see it delivered.

My box got wet through the Bakflip VP during the monsoons over the last few day.

My basement got wet too and that hasn't happened since 1998.

Lots of closed roads due to flooding and most area lakes are posted for no wake due to extremely high water.

Seems like when it rains it floods more often than not anymore. Glad the tornados missed you. Hope for sunny weather will probably bring a drought too. We hang on !

Default Solid Fold

I have the Solid Fold. I have had a few problems with it, but keep in mind I've had it for four years now. The clamps on one of the sides is broken and sometimes falls out of the cover. This is because the plastic cracked when it was -35C one cold winter morn while I was trying to open it. A plastic fastner on the back cracked as well during a routine removal of the entire cover from the truck. It still works but is now sitting a bit funny. Right out of the box there was a plastic seal that for some reason crossed over from one hinge to the other; I just ended up cutting it with scissors and I've had no water leak issues. Lastly the paint came off of one of the hinges while at the car wash; I repainted it with spray paint and it looks fine.

One thing to also keep in mind is that it gets in the way if you want to install a cab guard. I'm thinking of just making a few cuts where the cabguard would install and hoping that it fits, but I probably won't be getting one for another 3 months to a year so I'll see how that goes.

Despite all these problems I actually really like the cover. It looks slick, can support a fair bit of weight, has weathered well over the 4 years and is really easy to open and remove. I can remove the whole cover myself within about 4 minutes. I like that it can't be cut into but you could if inclined shove something under it and just pry it up a bit but that seems a risk with any cover. I'd probably buy another if I needed one, but I'd pickup a few extra clips at the same time!

Ford trifold made by bak. It works great no major leaks. Very pleased with it. Holds great when driving down the fwy in the open position.

I have a BakFlip HD tonneau cover. It's a little over two years old and looks like new. I bought it just to keep crap out of the box and to make the truck look complete. It's been opened maybe twice in that time. I don't haul anything in my truck.
