Service manual suggestions?
Hello, new member here.
I have a '99 F150 SCab 4.6L 2wd that I bought recently on Ebay to occaisionally pull a racecar trailer and help out around the house. After a life as a work truck, it has a long list of big and small projects needing attention including screwed up A/C and HVAC control, power window and lock trouble, a few engine noises, leaky diff., etc. I buy manuals for all my cars and do all of my own service. I am no professional mechanic but do just fine as a DIYer.
I am looking for some good repair or service manual suggestions for this truck. I did a search here and didn't find much. I don't like the generic Haynes and Chiltons manuals as they usually frustrate me by lacking real specifics. On Ebay there are a variety of discs being sold but each one says "don't buy the others because they are no good for reason X and Y". I prefer books but a CD/DVD would be fine. I'd rather not just rely on a web site because I need specific descriptions for specific needs and find that usually only factory shop manuals are truly reliable and won't have access to run back and forth to a computer for every step. I'd just prefer to cut through the sales claims and see what F150 owners like.
Thanks in advance.

if you want a good manual, get the ford manual, it will tell you exactly how to fix anything, can be had off ebay, not cheap but the most in depth manual you can get. they also make cd discs for cheaper.
