Default Ford reliabilty

'97 scab, 4.6, 2wd, short bed; 213,000. What broke? Radiator at 196,000,
water pump (2nd) as I think about it, a power steering pump @ 210,000.
Oh yes I've replaced tensioner and idler, x-mission over haul at 210,000, alternator at 205,000, fuel pump and a/c pump, but because I wanted to avoid breakdowns not that they failed.
Still untouched engine, etc, etc. surprises me with it's reliability, mileage and lack of the problems I read about on this site.

Year: 2004
Cab: Scab
2wd or 4wd?: 4wd
Auto or manual: auto
Miles: 80,000ish (135,000kms)
(anything else that is important)

Whats broke:
4X4 solinoid on the front diff, lower ball joints (both) rear axle seals (both) and that is it...I keep the maintenance up and have done all the fluids a few times and spark plugs once. The truck looks and drives as a new one.

I have a Superchips programmer, true duel side exit exhaust, Gotts mod with K&N and a transmission shift kit-the little 4.6 pulls very hard.

What's broke: Nothing so far (knock on wood). However, that's not to say this truck isn't costing me money (with all of the mods/add-ons). I purchased this truck based upon the 125,000 trouble-free miles I had with my previous 2003 Ranger, and I'm hoping that the Ford Factory crew that designed and built that tuff li'l sucker also created this beast.

Battery isn't Fords fault though.

Honda more reliable? They are known for reliability-probably more so than Toyotas so the comparison between Ford products and Honda is not equal.

I think Fords are getting more reliable than they have ever been but have a ways to go to catch the Hondas...

I will tell you that I am not really impressed with the complex 4 wheel drive system on the '97-04 F 150s...
