Default How to get sap off my paint?!?

I was getting my truck all nice and clean for the Huntington Beach, Cali meet. As I was washing it I noticed a big spot of sap. About the size of a quarter..

What ways is there to get sap off? I've tried a few on another vehical and it didn't work very well and it started digging into the paint.

So, what ways have you guys tried to get sap off without hurting the paint?

I don't know how it got there. I'm in the desert, no trees in my yard.. But I need it off!

Thanks guys and gals.

I am not certain about large drops of sap but I have used clay bar to remove small dots of sap. The size you would get if you parked under a pine tree.

Warm water and dish soap. Use a quality sponge, or microfiber cloth.

yep, that will do it, just remember, dish soap will strip any wax off that is on there so wax it after you get the sap off. the wax might even help the sap from sticking the next time

Clay bar. Go to your local autoparts store and get one in the detailing section.
