question on purchase
I am considering purchasing a 03 F150 Lariat with 82k. The truck is very clean, leather, sun roof, bed cover and liner and brand new tires. price 11,800. Is that a lot of mile for that truck and for the price? should I look for one with less miles? Thanks

I think you can do better. If it passes inspection, and you really like the truck, go at them hard. If you're going to finance, go to your bank and get pre-qualified so that you can walk in, make the deal, write a check and leave. That way you can low-ball them. Your goal is to get out the door with tax and license for less than the sticker price. I think on a six year old truck, you might even be able to get it for 10k.

I am up Mass and F150's seem to hold their value up here. The dealer wanted 13k and got him down to 11.8 with 5600 for my 98 MB ML320 that had issues. I am paying cash and have walked away twice. did talk with other dealers and saw other trucks in the same price range, but nothing as nice as this ride. I can buy another 03 lariat with 62k for about 900 more. not as nice, no sun roof and no bed cover. I was wondering if a 20k mile difference really should be considered. thanks

No 20k isn't really much of a difference. But I would use that on the dealer for negotiating a better price, but it sounds like you probably already are. Good Luck and post up some pictures if you get it.

Don't know if this is a dead issue yet or not but I ended up walking out the door of Allen Samuel's Dodge Jeep here in Port Arthur, TX with my '05 Lariat 5.4 with 36k at the time for just under $13k. You can do better.
