Default How do I manually "start/crank" a 92 auto?

Hey guys, so I just purchased my first ford several days ago. Its a 1992 with the 5.0 in it. I have a feeling my starter is going to be shot soon, and I am hoping to just get one for my birthday in december. Just in case it goes out too soon though, is there any way to start the truck if the starter is shot? just once or twice while I take it to the shop?

Any advice or how-to's would be greatly appreciated!

oh, and I forgot to mention it's an automatic. Somebody said something about using a socket on something.

Thanks guys!!

darnnn... well i guess my best hope is for it to hang in there for a little while.

well since it's my own thread, I won't mind any threadjacking; anything cheap that I should do to the truck to either improve looks, performance or reliability??

just cheap things, not really looking to dump a lot of money into the truck.
thanks!

yea, that'd be sweet. but that's a little out of my price range.

especially since I'd need the lift and gears

yea, I'm going to be getting a new starter. thats just something that needs to be done. Don't want to be sitting dead in the water in winter. I was just thinking about after that. I don't have anything on my christmas list yet, so I figured Id get some cheap ideas.
