Default Horn and cruise control do not work.

I need help. My wife took my truck to work the other day and when she came home she said the horn and cruise control dont work anymore. I have had that recall done on the cruise control.

I dont know if it is the fuse that went bad or what, can anybody point me in the right direction??? if it is the fuse which one would it be and which one is it. when i bought the truck it did not come with the owners manual that shows which fuses are which. thanks, 01 Lifted

Well go get a haynes manual. It should show the fuse's too and a fuse tester. Fuse would be my first suggestion, easy to fix.

i dont know if it is as simple of a fix as a fuse. Same thing that happened to my truck last week. But i heard a snap crackle and pop behind my steering wheel right before it happened. Air bag light came on right away, no cruise or horn. More than likely associated with the body lift I put in 3 days before. Oh well, Airbags are overrated, the finger and no muffler get my point across, and cruise control... would be nice i guess, haha. I talked to a friend who's 01 f250 P-stroke did the same thing. Was goin in to get it fixed when he saw a nicer truck. Ford dealership said it was something like a clock spring?? I dunno, eventually i gotta get mine fixed. but for not its minor.

I dunno if this helps or not, but just thought i'd try

One of the fuses popped under the hood. will check the cruise control on the way to work tomorrow. does anyone know a place i can download the haynes manual. i have a computer in the garage that i keep all vehicle manuals in.

No, no airbag warning light, wife said he heard no snap crackle or pops. thanks for the input guys.

yeah i agree first check the fuse.
if not maybe its the relay.
and if relay and fuse is not the problem remove the horn and test it.

if it is not a fuse it is most likely a clock spring...not really a spring...it goes behind your steering wheel and it allowes you to turn and not tangle up the wires behind it...it fits on the shaft and has wires in it
