Default Hi lift jack help

I have a hi lift jack to jack up my truck, I can jack up the front with the tow hooks but how could I jack up the rear? Or does anyone have any other suggestions, my truck is lifted 4 inches with 35 inch tires

Does the receiver hitch seem like a safe place to lift from?

Default Hi lift jack help

Sounds like you need to put the hi lift away until you figure out how to use it.

Default Hi lift jack help

Good, I'll take the helpful award to keep him alive.

And he's gonna hurt himself or someone else by lifting by the hitch and tow hooks.

The truck can sway front and rear and the jack will slip out when using a tow hook to hitch.

A stable surface is required.

Hence why to put it away and stop "trying" to use it until he knows how

I tried it and once it swayed I stopped and put it away, that's why I'm asking if there is any other safer way to use it, people are so quick to jump down people's throats

I use a floor jack under the lower control arms up front and under the shock mount on the rear raising one corner at a time, very stable even off road with a small piece of ply wood under the jack.

Yes I also have a 4" lift and 32" tires which are 1.5" lower but I always have at least 2" or so of jack lift.

If you are wanting to raise the whole front or rear or the entire truck get 2 sets of jack stands.

High Lift makes accessories for their jacks..
http://www.hi-lift.com/accessories/bumper-lift.html
or
http://www.hi-lift.com/accessories/lift-mate.html

For the bumper lift, use a piece of old inner tube between to not scratch the bumper.
