Maybe. But it's still more money than the OEM's I bought and in the future can upgrade myself if it really bothers me. Another thing was turnaround time and I wasn't waiting months for retros. The stock halogens are borderline dangerous in the area I live in and no way was I waiting until winter was nearly over for lights. I can add the Evo projector myself if I want too...... and it's not going to cost me double than what I paid now for me to do it either. Heck for the price..... I can buy another set of OEM HID's from TRS if I wreck these ones trying to add better projectors and come out at break even over some retro OEM setups. The retros are nice and all...... but pass.

And hey...... Everybody needs money..... I don't disagree with the pricing on the retrofits really... it's a lot of work and it's not free. But then again I don't pay people to do almost anything automotive wise for me. So it's all good.

I agree, if you can do it yourself, there is definitely cost savings.

But if you can't do it and are not willing to spend some money, I would just avoid all the ebay ones that put out crappy light output and stick with my stock ones.
