Default Rim Guards & OEM 18'' "Lip-less" Rims

Installed a 2.5'' level and 3'' Auto Spring Block. Got the truck aligned with the stock rims and tires, camber on passegner side minimally out of spec. Installed 275-70R18 Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx tires. Drove it for about 8k miles and slight cupping is happening to the inside. So i bought a camber bolt kit and installed it. Firestone couldnt align it due to no rim lip, the rim guard and the fact they are very stiff load range E tires. Since then ive been to 4 other shops and everyone has turned me away.
Super frustrated. To the point now where i got a buddy with a 2007 f150 who is letting me swap tires for the weekend so i can get it aligned. He has OEM chrome steelies.
Anyone else had any issues? Never going to get this combo again.....

I thought they had hanging lasers as well? Kind of like a harness that drops over the tire....

I could be wrong.

But as I have the same wheels I am adding so I can see what others say.

By the way there are a lot of rims and manufacturers that have lip-less rims out there.

I wonder how the dealership does alignments?
Might be a ripoff, but did you consider them?

Take the vehicle to a competent alignment shop.

The wheel alignment machine makers (e.g. Hunter) have adapters for lip-less rims (which are NOT UNCOMMON) that allow for alignment WITHOUT marring the rims.

It's so frustrating. I called 5 different places and all turned me down. One place was even a customized and specialized in aftermarket tires and rims. But they say due to the load range e tire the tire has no give and they can pound the metal hook into the bead. Each one says that they can only get 1/16" in, once they tighten the unit down it slips off.
On the way home I paid close attention to all the rim and tire combos I see and tons are similar to mine.

The first shop I tried had the hanging type, but they said my tires were too big for them.
I wrote that off as b.s., and they didn't want to touch it.

I have a hatred for shops, every time I go to one I get ripped off or my vehicle gets damaged in some way. There are very few reputable shops in central NY that I have found.
The only time I take my vehicles to a shop is for alignments and inspections. Now I don't even want to do that!

I didn't, but they might have the newest equipment.

As someone looking to get a similar tire on the same wheel could you please explain what the issue with this setup is? Why won't they work on it?

Many tires now are being "molded" with a thing called a rim guard as seen in my pics. Where the tire meets the rim at the bead there is a larger raided portion of rubber designed to protect the lips of your rims from rocks and such. Out of the 5 shops i went to they said that because i put this type of tire on with a load range e rating that there isnt enough "give" to the tire so they can sneak the hook of the aligning device between the rim and the tire rim guard. My best explanation i guess.
