Trying to figure it out!
Owners manual. I'd go with 10,700 as my guess. But you need to know gcvw.

Google is your friend here. Google "towing for 2016 F-150". You'll find this PDF created by Ford to answer your question. See page 16.

There is an entire section of the forum dedicated to Towing with oodles of threads answering this very question many times a day. Reading some of those threads will yield the answers you seek, and they start with reading your Payload sticker. You will learn that what you can PULL behind your truck is much different than what you can TOW behind your truck, and is nowhere near 10,000 pounds.

Rick - Are you saying the listed 10,700, 11,000 OR 11,500 weights (for the OP's listed specs and compared to the chart by Ford) cannot be towed by these trucks or that they can tow it just now well?

the "tow ratings" are most likely only going to be reached with a wagon type trailer that has an axle in the front and rear to greatly reduce tongue weight. Or using a Toad to hold the tongue weight.
a 10k trailer will have a tongue weight approx. 1300#. MOST new F150s (WITHOUT MAX tow or HDPP) have a payload cap. of about 1500ish pounds. that means the driver and any other passengers or cargo must be less than 200#s combined to remain above PL rating.

Working backwards:
500 / .13 = 3,846 pounds LOADED trailer
1,100 / .13 = 8,462 pounds LOADED trailer
Of course the payload of the vehicle, when you then subtract passengers, cargo, and modifications added, as well as the weight of the weight distribution hitch, may in fact push you BELOW 1,100, depending on the model F-150 you own and the towing package(s) you added (or higher for some).
Boat trailer may in fact put less than 13% of the weight on the tongue and allow a heavier tow.
Again, discussed over and over (and over and over) on the Towing section of the forum).

I have searched for hours trying to find some Info and I have found some just not specific. I called ford today and he said I could tow 10,700 pounds. but it's not that simple from what I understand. This is my first truck so I'm still not sure on the pounds I can go tow sorry for the questions just don't want to do it wrong the first time. These trucks are very expensive so want to do it right
