@ComQuest Which dealer in Charlotte did you buy from? I'm looking at Fort Mill Ford, Town & Country Ford, and Keith Hawthorne Ford of Charlotte.

Ya I thought about that too. Got lucky on mine with 8k miles. Actually called the previous owner of mine after I bought it from the dealer (his # was on the title) to see if he had the warranty info on the BakFlip that was on it. He assured it was a fantastic truck, only reason he sold it was to get a bigger truck.

No Red FX4 but they have a nice Ruby plat that I can maybe talk them out of.

If I buy there I'll make sure to mention you, maybe you can get some kind of referral bonus.

I just realized that if I buy a Plat, my forum name's gonna be kinda hypocritical!

So I did my round trip through Atlanta, stopped at 4 dealers. 2 thought I was crazy, 2 gave me numbers fairly close to what I wanted.

Their numbers were ok, but I still want to get it lower. I'm just going to wait another 2-3 weeks. I think by then they'll really be itching to get rid of the '13 models. Until then I'm just going to have to rough it with my "ancient" 2012 FX2....

If I do get the Ruby FX4, this is almost exactly what I want it to look like in the end. Just Ruby Red instead of Red Candy, OEM HID projectors, and the gunmetal 20's instead of the black ones. Simple rugged beauty is the goal. Courtesy of @Devin4x4

Cool glad you made your rounds down in ATL. I was going to send you a message and ask how'd everything go for ya. The red trucks are good looking and sexy.

Or maybe a 2010 BMW K1200R with just under 3k miles for $9,000. Not sure which I'll enjoy the most.
You will enjoy the Beemer bike the most. After enjoying it the most for about 4 years you will sell it for $7k. By then it just might be broken in.

Ya the bike looked like a great deal, but realistically my brain and heart won't let me buy it... Too many family members and close friends that have been severely injured or killed. I trust my own driving, but not that of the soccer mom/lawyer that is coming the other way doing her makeup, eating breakfast, reviewing case notes, controlling kids, and trying to drive with her knee....

If I lived a more remote area, then hell yeah to the bike. But alas, there's just too many idiots here...

Drove right past Alpharetta. Forgot how absolutely enourmous the Atlanta area is... Goes on for miles and miles. I never see 8 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic going each way.... I so badly wanted to use that Georgia Speedpass whatever lane..... Really could have let 'er rip going down there.....

It's a beautiful truck! You know what they say about imitation...

Now looking at your truck, I'm thinking I may swap the dealer for my Black 20's and see how it looks on the Ruby.

Did you paint your wheels or get your hands on some OEM black ones? Was that the original bull bar just painted or did you go back and buy a black one? Your truck will really look badass with the HID's or a retrofit. IMO, it would be complete.
