Can you wonderful people out there in Forum land give me some info? What all are the major diffs between a fully loaded Plat and a fully loaded FX4 other than exterior. I know the Plat has rear heated seats and a wood piece on the steering wheel. But what about mechanical and the rest of the interior?

Unique & Different
So my final top two. Assuming I can get both at the same price, which would you guys go for? Just gimme your personal opinions, I'm curious. Is there much of a drivetrain difference between the Plat and the FX4?

gone, if nobody's going to go hunger because of the trade. Do it. Get what you want, and enjoy. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
BTW, I'm biased and will say go with the Platinum. The leather is different, and I understand it was cured on the thighs of a virgin. You get the sound screen windshield, the neato running boards, and aluminum trim instead of coated plastic. I think that's about all on the inside. The mechanics are the same.

How is the leather? Have you compared yours to a lower version like an FX? The aluminum trim you're talking about is that the interior? I thought it was still just faux brushed aluminum.

Its always nice to get something new, personally tho, id keep the fx2 cuz its just gorgeous. And honestly, i've never really needed 4x4. I heard a long time ago, the only thing 4x4 does for you is give you an extra set of *****, and it turned out to be true. You are gettin a hell of a deal tho.

Yep, you won't be happy until you get that red one man. And since BMW is made in SC now, you'll be able to find plenty of them later. Do it, just do it.

BTW, you'll love the 5.0L in which ever you choose.
