Can you wonderful people out there in Forum land give me some info? What all are the major diffs between a fully loaded Plat and a fully loaded FX4 other than exterior. I know the Plat has rear heated seats and a wood piece on the steering wheel. But what about mechanical and the rest of the interior?

gone, if nobody's going to go hunger because of the trade. Do it. Get what you want, and enjoy. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

BTW, I'm biased and will say go with the Platinum. The leather is different, and I understand it was cured on the thighs of a virgin. You get the sound screen windshield, the neato running boards, and aluminum trim instead of coated plastic. I think that's about all on the inside. The mechanics are the same.

It is a good looking truck. Ruby looks good on pretty much anything. Apparently 2014 Raptors are only going to be available in Black and Ruby Red. I want to see a Ruby Raptor.

Well regardless of how much money I have I'm always hungry, I have the metabolism of a horse. It's not about doing what other ppl like, it's about me working it out for my self by bouncing ideas off of others. I have no imagination so I hijack other ppl's brains to do my work for me.

How is the leather? Have you compared yours to a lower version like an FX? The aluminum trim you're talking about is that the interior? I thought it was still just faux brushed aluminum.

Its always nice to get something new, personally tho, id keep the fx2 cuz its just gorgeous. And honestly, i've never really needed 4x4. I heard a long time ago, the only thing 4x4 does for you is give you an extra set of *****, and it turned out to be true. You are gettin a hell of a deal tho.

Yep, you won't be happy until you get that red one man. And since BMW is made in SC now, you'll be able to find plenty of them later. Do it, just do it.

Well BMW's been in spartanburg since 1994 and used BMW's have actually gotten a little more expensive. People see more new ones so they want to go out and buy used ones. Interesting enough I've noticed that used cars seem to be cheaper in GA or NC compared to SC.....

The leather in my Platinum is soft as a baby's rear, front and back. The rear outside seats are also heated. It's my understanding it's real aluminum in the interior trim, it feels like it. If it's not, I'm sure someone will chime in. I know it's hard to chose between the FX, and the Platinum. I first had my mind thinking FX, then went to the Lariat, and maybe the Platinum. I took the Wifey when we test drove the Lariat, and the Plat. We ask the sales guy to give a bit of time to think about which one we liked best. We didn't even get to our car. We both agreed we liked the Plat the best. I told that story to suggest you drive both. That will be the only way to tell which one you like the best. Good luck.

BTW, you'll love the 5.0L in which ever you choose.
