Well, I'd just say that if you want to do it and can afford to do it - then DO IT. You don't need our advice.

(Plus, I think you have excellent taste.)

I wanted a wrangler so bad, and the $31k I spent on my truck would have made for one Badass JKU... But they just didn't make the cut for me. If I lived out in like Utah, my decision may have been different. There you can really use a JKU for camping.

I use people as thought trampolines, I just bounce ideas off of them until I catch the one that I like best.

Man, lots of good options. I had a set of skis myself and loved them, had lots of fun bringing friends out and just hanging out on the lake and BBQing. The Fx4 would be pretty sweet though, do you find yourself needing 4x4 often?

Thought about one of those Yamaha 270HP 6 person jet boats too. They are tons of fun and everybody can go along for the ride. Not very popular so you can pick them up cheap.

Or the seadoo version

Not NEEDING it all that much, but I plan on keeping the truck for at least 8yrs and I don't want to not have it. I'm ok with buying a 1yr old truck, but buying a 6yr old truck 5yrs from now, idk. 6yrs is a long time for someone I don't know to abuse a truck. So in case I have somewhere I can use 4WD all the time, I don't want to go buy a diff truck then.

Love to camp, and did a trip to Cape Lookout, NC this summer. Camped right on the sand 30ft from the water. Truck did ok out there, only got stuck once in a really deep rut. But I kept finding myself thinking "I wish I had bought the FX4, I wish I had bought the FX4, why didn't I buy the FX4???" I love to explore and I was restricted where I could take the FX2 without getting stuck. Had to air down to 15-20 PSI just to drive around on those quicksand roads. Stock Pirelli Scorpions aren't exactly "off-road" tires but still.

And here's the BMW 330 Convertible. $200-300 to swap tails for newer 2005 LED lights and it will look many years newer.

I say do it. You'll finally be satisfied and have closure LOL. When I get around to purchasing my f150 it will be a fx4, 4x4 at minimum...probably wouldn't even buy the 4x4 unless it was a smoking deal because honestly I wouldn't be happy with it unless it was lifted rollin on 35s. Fx4 looks great stock IMO and doesn't need anything. Having the ability to throw some mudd off-road is a super plus

The jeep I looked at, was pretty cool. Would have preferred an auto tranny cause I'm lazy, but I can drive a manual well enough. Would be happy at $7000-7500

Considered trading up to a Raptor too.

I didn't think about the Raptor. Oh heck yeah, if you can get a Raptor in the color you want with what you want, jump on that deal fast...ha ha ha and don't even think about it.

Raptor is maybe not happening.... And yes money is a concern, I only have $8,000 to spend, and finding a newer low mile Raptor is proving difficult....
And man I am going to miss getting 20-25 mpg in my EcoBoost if I switch to that super thirsty 6.2 with a 4.10 rear.....

I'm looking at some Platinums also:

yeah the difference in mileage would certainly hurt..

if money IS a concern, then i dont know if blowing $7k on anything, toy or new truck, is a great idea...
but if you're gonna keep the truck 6-8 more years, might as well get what you want and get the other toys later.
