Default Heated washer fluid

Well as winter is on it's way I was wonder if any one has installed those heated washer fluid kits in their trucks. I'm thinking about getting one but not sure how well they actually work

Have you ever tried a windshield washer fluid that had de icer in it? When I lived more up north in texas I would use rain x with de icer and that stuff was awesome. Just a thought.....

Heated washer fluid will freeze faster once it hits the air. Ever boiled water and threw it in the air outside? It freezes almost instantly.

At Ft. Drum we just used the -50 degree washer fluid , never had any issues even at 30 or 40 degrees F below zero.

Ditto.

Been driving in Canada all my life and never heard of heated fluid. I typically use the stuff that's rated to -40C and have never had a problem.

Definitely use the rain x. I've had the -20 degree stuff freeze before when it was 0 degrees outside

Ya I'll try rain-x. My main problem is when it's blowing snow and we're off roading my wipers will freeze up with snow and then my windshield follows behind that and then I gotta stop and break off the ice

You may also want to try winter wiper blades.

I had it once on an 2008 Silverado and loved it. Went right thru the nasty Ohio ice build up.
