headlights will not go off

what do you mean? They won't shut off when your truck is off? Or they're always on when you're driving?
My headlights will come on when I unlock the truck with my fob. They will also remain on until I lock the truck with my fob I believe.

same problem
Had the same problem with my truck. The key was out and the lights were in the off position but still on. I could here the clicking sound like it would make when the auto lights would go on and off. I ended up pulling the panel up on the dash and disconnecting the sensor for the auto lights no problems since but it has only been a few days. Good luck!

Had the same on my 2003 F150. Headlights stay on even if switch and truck are off. No tail lights or dash lights. Blinkers work and brake lights work. Go under the hood and check fuse #6. Headlight main fuse for relay. It is 15 amp and probably will be blown. If you remove the fuse directly next to it (toward the fender) the lights will go out. No need to disconnect the baterry. Mine does this periodically which means I probably have a wire shorting but I haven't found it. I keep a box of 15 amps in my truck.

Hi, just had same problem with my '98 F150, headlights just came on out of the blue by themselves. A few days ago my air bag light started flashing once in a while, my 4x4 light also flashed and clicked... but 4x4 did not engage. The heater fan would keep running after truck shut off and keys pulled. Also had a clicking sound from dash, like relays going off and on. I spent hours troubleshooting. checked all relevant fuses, relays. Disconnected battery to see if something needed to be reset like a computer and to save it. Then reconnected after about 20 minutes. Lights still on. So I just went through all fuses, one at a time... until lights went off. Sure enough, the 5 amp Data Link fuse. Lights went off, clicking noise stopped. everything else works fine.
