Default Headlight advice

I have a 2013 STX and am looking into getting some HID headlights to go along with all of the black that comes with the truck's trim. Any advice as to what to get? I've looked into Ford's, but am not looking to spend that much money.

properly retrofitted HID projector headlights > 2013+ Ford OEM HID projector headlights > stock Ford halogen headlights > scented candle as headlights > crappy 3rd party projector headlights

IMO, save your money until it can be done right. plenty of HID threads in the lighting section on this forum.

Don't settle on 3rd party. Save that money and keep saving until you can have OEM. You can find them being sold on here for under $800 full plug and play, once in a while.

I just got some and got them working properly last night....and......aaaaawesome.

Besides the terminal that was broken, what else did you find?

The connector from the harness to the headlight plug was done. It would cut out and come on just by wiggling it. Not good for the unattended roads of Niagara, Ontario......

Lol. The only thing LED about any of those are the halos. None of them actually use LEDs for driving lights.
