which head lights for upgrade?
im considering getting hid lights for my truck but I have seen a lot that are too blue or purple and seem like the visibility on them is worse than my stock sun-yellowed-lens headlights. what would be a good upgrade for my headlights?

the higher in temp color (5000k, 6000k, etc) the less light output you get. 4300k is considered OEM lighting from their HID lights. get a retrofit. there are a few folks on this site that off fantastic products. ive bought a retrofit from someone on this forum myself. they are awesome.

5000k is pure white, like snow. And 6000k is the neon like white with a blue hue when looking toward it. I like both depending what the vehicle is. 6000k looks good for off road base, and 5000k looks professional and clean on high end vehicles.
Best choice overall is to do an actual retrofit to run them safe and enjoy full quality resolution.

I have 5000k in my heads lights and fog lights. I love them. my truck has a 3" level on it so it does blind the hell out of people in cars. BUt o while. I love it. This is my lights.
I went 5000k because 6000k is against the law in Vegas. I know cops dont really care but my old lady drives my truck to. This is a new style that makes it posiable so that you do n ot have to install a relay becasue of the high and lows are in the same bulb. it was 300 for both head lights and fog lights installed. This new style is very very clean.

Do not put HID's in a halogen housing. (Like ^ above I am assuming by the light scatter)

That is illegal and you blind oncoming traffic because the light scatter with the incorrect optics.
You can see how much glare he has in the camera even from the side. Imagine it coming head on.
I learned this when I put them in my halogen housings back in 2005 and discovered it wasn't the right thing to do.
These are the correct HID Projector housings to use in that generation F150.

I have been behind cops I don't know how many times and never got told anything, I don't think I am that lucky. I really don't. These new system is a softer light or some stuff. I gut was telling me about it I did not under stand. I am pretty sure if it was that illegal I would have been pulled over at least ten times by now.
