I have a silver 2010 f150 platinum 5.4 and was thinking of turning the taillights black with vht nightshade? I've done this before on my other vehicles but not on a silver one such as mine ... all input welcomed and do show pics if you have them .... thanks

Not silver but I like tinted tails on any color (not too dark), just looks better to me, I replaced my t lights with Recon led assemblies with a tinted look, love em.

How much did they run you ? My only concern is the LEDs going out rather soon.

Not cheap but you usually get what you pay for, several others in this forum have had them for many years with no issues.

I have aftermarket tinted led tails on my silver '06. I'm on a tablet and don't know how to post pics with it but if you happen to bump into one of my threads, it can give you an idea. Hope it helps.

Oh, I totally agree that you get what you pay for but Recon's prices are bonkers and way outta my price range. I've been Hella lucky with my eBay no name tails and headlights (knock on wood ). Tails and 3rd brake light $130, headlights $200.

I looked on some of your threads and didn't see any posts of your rear tail lights after they been smoked lots of the front though

I'm a trucker living on the road now, can't work this tablet. If you can find my 3/5 drop with rear sway bar install, it'll have some pics. It's in the lowered section. And the tails I bought came tinted.
