Black is to hard to keep clean and the the 5.0 has a better chance of lasting till the wheels fall off.

Look for a white 5.0.

And, reconsider your need for an FX. You can get a new XLT for much less than either of those used FXs.

I have to agree here. I love my XLT with the 302A pkg.

Default 5.0

Just bought the 5.0 2 months ago and it is a proven motor. Have a lot of friends with the Eco.Some have had trouble and others say mpg is not better. Also HP and Torque is near the same. But it's all about your gut! Check on new first.I got $14,000 off. Good luck.

yea i live down down a dirt road and starting to think black may not be a good color choice. funny you say that i have got deals on trucks "beaters" from armwrestling lol. and a local credit union is offering me 1.85 on a 72 month loan at 38grand for the eco. think i may pull the trigger. the owner works for ford coorperate and has some kind of especial deal and gets a new one every year. this is his second eco that he is selling and gettin another. of my reading it seems like they got the kinks worked out by 2013 models?

Again, just my opinion, but, if you plan to drive the wheels off of it, a turbo is not the right choice.

When I was in the market for my truck I had a salesman tell me that his dad owned two trucks, both the 5.0 and the eco. Said that there wasn't enough difference in gas mileage to even consider. I took that with a grain of salt...but that was his words.

Default Used vs new

Good rate, but I would still check on a new one. Here in Louisiana ,the same truck new is the same price with rebates. Either way,it's a F150!
