Nice. But I've got the hooks - I'm trying to find out how you install them , what's involved, what tools are needed, one or two man job?

Default hooks

post a pic of the hooks. That will help. Mine were just two bolts, loosen one take the other out, slide the new ones over the bolt, install the second bolt into the hole, and tighten back down. Your done.

The tow hooks also have an inner piece that is inside the frame rail that the bolts go through.

OK - here are pics of the ones I plan to install - not sure which side is up? I looked briefly at my stock ones the other day . Two large bolts on each. One seems to go completely thru the frame rail, the other goes into the rail but does not exit???

bolt on same as mine, the rear nut/bolt has a plate that holds the front nut inside the frame.

You were right! Easy bolt on. Remove the front bolt entirely, loosen the rear, slide off the old hook, slide on the new one, tighten both bolts.

Now I've got a set of OEM tow hooks for sale!

Default Appreciate Your Directions on Tow Hook Removal

I recently was also looking for directions on how to remove the tow hooks on my 07 FX4, and really appreciated your directions ... especially the point about removing the front bolt but only loosening the rear one that is in the slot, so that you don't loose the metal piece inside the frame that holds the two nuts. You might have saved me a lot of trouble ...Thanks!!
