Not sure I will respond to Ford SupportCa with all that information that they require. If this is not repaired I will call Ford support and let them know about this problem.

In that case, have a look here: https://www.f150forum.com/f72/how-di...72/?styleid=14

Default Same issue-front end growl wont go away

I have had the truck into 2 dealers to try and repair this issue. The first dealer cleaned the brake assembly on both sides and the noise stopped for a couple of days and restarted again. Next time the dealer turned both rotors and said that it must be rust on the rotors causing the noise. The third time in the dealer cleaned both sides agin claiming salt was the problem. I then took the truck to another dealer who said that the noise could be the pads on the rotors causing the issue, so using my extended maintenance package that I bought when I purchased the truck the dealer replaced the pads and the rotors. The same noise happened 2 days later, returned to the dealer and they replaced the rotors because 1 of them had scuff mark on the outside and we replaced both callipers at the same time thinking that they may be hanging up. ! day later she noise, they then replaced the bearing and hub on the right front because they heard a slight tick from the bearing on the right front. Well after all this work the noise is still there, any help for this issue? I am at my wits end with all this running back and forth and the problem is still there. Thank you all for any help rendered.
P.S This is a 2013 with 30000 miles.

I am so glad I came across this post! I am new to this site also. I own a 2013 F150 Supercrew Lariat 4x4, 5.0, 33,000 miles. I have what sounds like the same issue that you describe only mine seems to be more common after the vehicle is wet-driving in rain or after a truck wash. My dealer replaced both sets of brake pads on the front, turned the rotors (both brakes and rotors did not appear damaged) and just recently replaced both the driver and passenger hub assemblies. I thought this solved the problem until I drove it in the rain a few days later and the noise came back. I do admit that it is more subtle than before but it is still there. The dealership claims they have vacuum tested the 4x4 system and claim it is not a vacuum problem. I have read a little about actuators on different threads but not sure if that sounds like my problem either. My dealership has been very good about this issue but I get the feeling they're at their wits end as much as I. Keep me in the loop on your progress and any feedback from other F150 folks is appreciated.

The Dealer replaced both hubs and this corrected the problem, it was a long haul to get this repaired but the dealer was able to make the noise stop.

I have a 2013 F150 and am experiencing front end noise as well. Dealer has checked brakes, bearings and driveline, cannot resolve, does not make the noise all the time, does not matter if in 2w, 4a, 4l, or 4h. Sounds a lot like crossing a rumble strip but without the vibration.
Truck currently has 37,000 kms.

Default Growling Front end

You've hopefully figured this out by now but the problem is in the needle bearing in your front end. I've had to take my truck in 3 time now for the same problem and the dealer should be well aware of the issue because my deal is. Luther Family Ford has been very up front about the fact that this is a design flaw and that Ford hasn't come up with a solution.

Every time I've taken it to them they have repack the front end bearing and the issue is resolved for another year. They are working on getting a better grease designed to solve the problem.

I had the same problem with my 06 Ford F150 XLT 4X4. I finally had to replace both the vacuum hub actuators and solenoid for the 4 wheel drive. Apparently the old solenoid allows water to get into the tubing lines and the actuators will get stuck in a position that rubs the cv joint mesh up gear.
Glad you got it fixed.

Default Growling noise

Couple years ago I posted comments about my 2013 F150 having some growling noises which seemed to come from the front end. Couple dealers were unsuccessful in finding the noise, so I traded and purchased a new 2014 F150. I am starting to wonder if that was the right thing to do as this truck seems to be making a humming noise and it seems to be when the truck shifts.
Dealer did a ride along and he thought it seemed like fluid flowing thru an orifice when the truck shifts.
Seems to be on warmer days that you notice more, getting quite frustrated with the noise.
I think the next trade may not be a Ford, anyone else heard of this?
thanks
