Default Led light bar question

Has anyone wired their light bar into the factory switch for the original fog lights? Would you have to use a relay?

I'm not against ordering a no name 20'' for my truck, but that $150 price tag doesn't seem as cheap when you've gone through three or four in a year. I seriously doubt they have the life span of a Rigid.
I had a no name 20 for about a year before buying a rigid, and now I am addicted. The no name is absolutly no comparison to the rigid! The lense on the no name was cracked, filled with water and was obviously brighter than my headlights before I had the oem hids. The brackets sucked, and the color faded to brown. The optics were small and didn't throw light very far.

Now the rigid, good lord. The 20 inch rigid is brighter than my eBay 40, and my old 4 inch round led lights and my headlights combined. Now I've got rigid duallys instead of the generic round LEDs I had, and the eBay 40 is gonna get replaced by a rigid. There is absolutely no comparison on quality and light output on these 100 dollar bars vs rigid. 'Merica

Rigids w/ebay 40 (tree line is about 2 miles up the road in this)-

I've had my Cree 20" for about a year and I got dual 7" mounted on my headache rack for back ups . The 20" itself is holding up good but the brackets are very cheaply made and when I clipped a deer I had to make some new ones up . Also with the dual 7" I only have condensation in one .I'm going to take the condensation out and put a bit of clear silicone around the edges to prevent more condensation from getting in .

Op here. I've had my bar on for over a year now and only problem I had was the brackets. No condensation, no cracks. I've gotten enough use out of it to completely justify the price. If it breaks I may go to a rigid. Who knows.

I have not but you would be best to use a relay to avoid overcurrent on your factory harness. The factory harness is just enough for what it's made for. It would be very simple to do it with a relay so might as well take the time and do it right so it will last.

How are everyones Ebay lights holding up??? All the guys that posted on the first page how are yours holding up? Any of the above issues butters33 mentioned?? Im really interested in buying a lightbar this spring/summer and I'm just doing my research now before the time comes to pull the trigger on one. Anyone who lives in cold temperatures have any input? I see one guy from New York posted, how are yours holding up still? Im in ontario Canada where winter is usually the coldest in the mid -30C to low -40C. However a few days during winter it can hit high -40C to sometimes low -50C. Can they hold up in that weather? Any issues with snow or ice build up on them?

Thanks

I've had mine on since November 2013 and the bar itself has held up great. The brackets only lasted about 6 months. I've had no condensation, no cracks. I live in North Dakota where winter temps reach -40F (which is where C and F are the same I found out) I have no issues through the winter. I may upgrade to Rigid when the life leaves this light but it fit my budget at the time and it is all sorts of bright which I needed on all the back oil roads I drive.

Default Long term update

I'm still running the same truck and got the original light bar from the first post. The cheap brackets broke eventually and i had a friend that's a machinist make me some heavy duty ones. Other than that everything is fine. A lot of the new cheaper ones on Amazon and eBay aren't equal quality to my older one.
