All it takes to pay for the ext warranty is one a/c compressor failure, one abs hydraulic control unit, one of just about any electronic module of the several that control our trucks to fail and it's paid for. Cheap insurance if you ask me.

I can't remember how many thousands customers didn't have to pay because they had it when they brought their vehicles to my dealer.

How bout that epas, electronic power steering assist, I think that sucker is about $1000 + labor + alignment = empty wallet.

You can take the gamble or you can get peace of mind assurance not if it fails but when.

Warranty companies aren't loosing $$$ on their policies or they wouldn't be around..... Sometimes you need it sometimes you don't. I've owned 8 or 9 vehicles in my lifetime and have put less than $4k into repairs other than normal wear in tear over my 14 year driving record. Quite a bit less than the $$$ I would pay into a warranty.

You buy insurance hoping you don't wreck your vehicle right? Extended warranty is just another type of insurance and knowing what I do from over 30 years wrenching as a career I don't mind one bit buying a little peace of mind.

I look at it this way, I have saved well over $6-8k in not buying the warranty's and that includes the estimated $4k I have put into my vehicles.

Perhaps I would be more inclined to look into this had I bought a new $30-50k vehicle but I buy all my vehicles used with the exception of my wife's Kia and it comes with the 100k/10 year warranty on it.

Much cheaper than what you paid, $1100 for 7/75k 50 ded. Stick with genuine Ford ESP because those aftermarket warranties are a pita to get approval for repairs should you need them.

Thanks for that link, that's the cheapest I have ever seen and much less than what my dealer wanted

Just my .02 cents worth. No warranty and wait till you have a $2000.00 repair.. tell the service guy to hold off on the repair..walk out to the show room and ask them how bad they wanna sell you a new truck.
They will discount the repair towards your trade because it doesn't cost them hardly anything..
use the money you would have spend on a warranty. .drive out in a shiny new truck.
on the flip side..If your truck is often in for warranty repairs, sell it before warranty expires or buy the insurance.

Amen brother, pass the biscuits. Just do without before you buy a third party warranty.

Flood was the cheapest when I bought also. It was a very smooth transaction, and the paper work was emailed to me within two days.
