I have a crack in one of my rear leaf springs..
While I was under my truck, checking everything out and trying to find out what kind of axle I had,
I found a slight problem in one of my leafs.
1.A crack in my lowest one.
2.My two U-bolts closest to the axle were very loose. I checked the other leaf springs and they were fine. So since the crack is on the lowest leaf and it wont be going anywhere will it be fine? I'm definitely going to tighten the U-bolts but I'm not sure if that crack will be a hazard or not in the future.
Also, does anyone know what kind of axle a 1995 5.8L 2WD F-150 would have? I don't have a door sticker so I'm not sure wear to look. I think it should be a Ford 8.8in 28 or 31 splines.
