I have 2wd sport and averaging 22 mpg which is mostly town miles and getting 26.2 on hwy. I have 1453 miles on it which even isn't close to being broke in. I do run ethanol free gas though. I'd look at your mpg after 5000 miles and would consider that as likely what you'll be getting from then on.

Depends on your setup really.

Yeah...not even close to broke-in...but I'm not sure exactly how much improvement. I think most folks are only gaining 2-5mpgs. But I could be wrong on that.

If you're not over 20mpg by 2k miles. I'd be getting her checked out.

I have a 2016 XLT SuperCrew 4WD that I purchased about 3 weeks ago. Just hit over 1k miles, 90% highway, and I'm currently averaging 22mpg. This is travelling about 70mph but with spots of heavy/dead-stop traffic.

I have a 2016 crew 3.5 eco w/max tow. About 2600 miles

My best mileage has been 21.5mpg hand calculated during my 70 mile round trip daily commute. If i drive the exact same way, but catch more stop lights, i get about 20mpg. Its amazing how much variance you can get driving the same roads at the same times. The only difference is slightly more idle time and obviously more accelerating.

If I accelerate slightly more briskly, i get 19mpg hand calculated.

My worst mpg was when it was new, that was about 17mpg hand calculated

Mpg does improve with a break in, but also you can learn to maximize it while watching your instant mpg meter

Yup, that's what I get, same configuration.

We rented a 2016 2.7 SuperCrew 4x4 to take from Denver Airport to Grand Junction, CO, over I-70. Have no idea on the gearing or any of those specifics, but we were averaging 24mpg up in the mountains. On flatter ground, instant mpg was getting up to 26 or so. No loss of power, most of the time it was in either 5th or 6th, every once in awhile it would throw down into 4th.

Was very surprised with the performance of that little motor. Would clean walk away from my 5.4 truck.

Just did a trip from Houston to el paso averaging 80 mph on the highway. I was getting around 24mph from Houston to San Antonio, it went down fast once we got into the hill country and my wife started driving, caught her doing around 95mph a few times. We had about 4 stops on the way with at least 10 minutes of the truck sitting at iddle. By the time we got to el paso we were at 19.9 average mpg.

2017 supercrew sport
2.7 ecoboost
3.55 gears.
4x2

4 people in truck plus luggage and a small cooler.

See my sig for the rig... just got her. First 200 miles driving county roads @ 50mph with some lights is 20 mpg.

Just surpassed 2000 miles on mine and now averaging 23.2 while guessing 70-80% town miles and the rest highway. I'm pretty sure ethanol free fuel is helping quite a bit but wasn't expecting to see these kind of results until 5000 miles. I'll give an update after that mark is passed.
