FYI - Shaking at 65mph+ RESOLVED
Hey guys, just thought I would share since I have seen a couple post on this and it might help a lot of you.
I have a 2012 Platinum, and I just hit 38K miles. For the past 6-12 months, my truck would vibrate when I get on the highway at speeds of 65+. About 6 months ago, I had my local dealer rotate and balance my tires which didn't help much at all.
Well, about two months ago I had a leak in a tire and pulled into a local tire shop were I told the guy about the shaking. He said without hesitation that it's my tires. "Those Scorpions that Ford used are real bad at that once the tread is worn down a little", he said. I really didn't believe him, but he said that he would rotate and balance mine for free but it wouldn't help. So, he did, and it didn't.
Now I still had plenty of tread on my tires and could have gone another 10-20K miles, but with a 14hr trip coming up with the family, I decided to test his theory and get new tires.
New tires on, hit the highway and it was as smooth as silk!!!
So - if anyone still has the original scorpions on, and you have a small vibration... it's more than likely your tires.

Did he really balance them correctly? Or did he pull the wool over your eyes is the question.
You'd be surprised how low some people go to make a buck
Did you buy your tires from the same guy?

Had scorpions on an 08 and had the same issue, but got rid of the truck! Did not like those tires at all!

haven't had any issues with Pirelli Scorpions yet.
Around here the roads are crap, and you always have a choppy ride, and sometimes a bed shake at 55-60..
but on a better paved road, truck drives pretty smooth.
are your roads crap where you are driving?

I sold the Pirellis off my 2014 on Craigslist with 600 miles on them. Back when I had my 2011 I also sold the Pirellis off that truck on Craigslist with 600 miles.

They clearly were not Scorpions, but, my Mustang had Pereli on it when I got it.... Worst tires EVER! They would spin though second gear. Went to Cooper Cobras and that thing has hooked ever since
