Going from 8.8 to a 9" rear end

Just a few things to think about. Is this a Limited Slip Differential rear end you're installing? Clutches should be inspected prior to install. Not sure look at the diff. tag for the "L" designation in the number. The 9" will be a few inches wider than the 8.8" so your tires will stick out slightly more. Axle perches for the springs may be different in width, verify spacing. E-Brake cables may be different as well as brake line wheel cylinder threads. Some 9" differential nose cones are shorter which may require drive shaft modifications, either lengthening or shortening. Good luck
