Kind of curious....saw an Adrenaline model and it was great looking. Inside wasn't nearly as hi-tech and I wonder if it would eventually feel too small. Looked like it might be a nice all around ride. I like that it has 4 wheel independent suspension, but I know mpg will be the same as my 2010 SCrew 4.6 3 v. Weight is nearly identical, Sport Trac lighter by a few hundred pounds. Any comments would be great.

I had an 08 xlt with the 4.0L Plenty of power and a little better mileage than the 4.6L. I loved it and kinda miss it. Had it been fully loaded with leather instead of cloth I wouldve kept it and bought an older full size truck for my towing needs. The 4 wheel independent suspension was awesome, as I live down washboardy gravel roads, really miss it compared to the F150 solid rear axle, lol! Loved the storage in the box and hard bed cover that opened from the front or the back, which is why I went with the truxedu deuce soft cover on my f150, it also opens from the front, very handy. Just wish it was a hard cover for more security, but where I live its not an issue but would be nice for traveling.

Thanks--the IRS is what intrigued me as well. My wife's Ridgeline, although hardly handsome, is one of the smoothest towing vehicles I've driven. I'll keep looking for the V8 as their mpg is pretty much the same as the 4.0. I see why you liked it.......too bad Ford quit making them.

I would probably recommend getting one fully loaded, or as close to as you can. If I had done that at first instead of getting an xlt I would still have it. I made sure my Lariat had every option available except the power fold mirrors and the factory tailgate step which I thought I would never use till I figured out how high the box is on these babys, lol! Oh well, rectified that problem with a amp step for 159$ so I saved 2500$.

My aunt has an 07 limited v8 2wd and gets 20-22 mpg. She has 60k mi and wants to trade it on a fusion etc, something that gets better mpg. I told her I would have bought it from her if I knew she was going to sell it before I bought my truck last year.
She has pretty much all the options in it. It's a nice little vehicle.

I know, they are damn sweet rides! I wanted a v8 at first too but the salesman told me there wasnt much power difference, though he coulda just been blowing smoke at me. He had to do a dealer trade for the 4.0L anyway so i believed him, or maybe he just couldnt find a v8, lol! I had a few rangers in the past with the 4.0L and they were really good motors and never gave me any problems so I went with that. I did pull a few trailers with it that were way to heavy for the sport trac, 4.0L handled them fine, but its flat land where I live, wouldnt want to have done it with hills to contend with and tow ratings wise I shouldnt have been pulling them with it anyway, which is why I now drive a f150.
