So had an airbag code 4-2 on a 2008 F150, front crash sensor. All indications pointed to bad sensor, after replacing sensor still had same code. Turns out that the wire running down along and under the door kick plate was corroded. So just an FYI before buying a hundred dollar sensor you can't return, maybe give that a once over. Cheers.

Nah, I know that electronic stuff is hard enough to return as it is, but especially if it's a " safety sensitive " product.
