So I have never seen this question asked, I always wondered how to say it.

So to you guys with FX4 or FX2 trucks how do you pronounce that.

Is it "F by 4" or "effex 4"

Funny someone should post this now. Just the other day I had someone ask me if my new truck was four by 4 or a Lariat? I said you mean an FX4? (eff X 4) He argued with me that it means four by 4. My response was... your an idiot.... lol Ive never even heard it referred to anything other than FX4 (eff X 4)

Well considering the commercials for these trucks say "eff ex 4" I'm gonna say that's how it's meant to be said. Although its obviously referring to the truck being a "four by 4"....
