four wheel drive
i have a 2005 ford f150 when i turn in four wheel drive it pops out and goes back in makes a bang when i back up it growls and dosent move can any one help me figure this out any help would be good thanks

4 wheel drive
My 2005 F150 has also been giving me problems like this. When I am cruising, I will begin to here noises in my front wheel drive. When I slow to a stop it makes a big thump and the noise stops. What's up?

Its normal for a 4X4 to bind and scuff when turning on hard surface roads.

it isnt normal when ever i put load on it it pop out it sounds like the acuator is not ingaging all the way in to the outer hub on the left side but i dont know for shure

do a search for IWE solenoid. its a common issue on these trucks, i just replaced mine. when it goes bad it will cause the symptoms you describe. i payed just over $20 for the part from ford and it toll all of 5 minutes to replace.
