Default Exhaust

I have a 2013 F150 xlt with the 3.5 in it and I’m really wanting it to sound tougher. Is there some type of exhaust or tips that can be put on and it not sound like a weed eater or a bumble bee?

You're really out of luck with that 3.5 making it sound good. Some will think I'm nuts, but that's one reason I went back to a 5.0.

Yeah, you are s.o.l. with trying to make a turbocharged engine sound "tough", due to the way the exhaust stream is routed through the compressor.

I'm one who does like the sound of a V6 NA or turbo, probably has something to do with hearing road racing cars for 5 decades. I do get a laugh at those who think small engine size equates to high pitched sound, it just is not so!
The rasp often associated in mostly a function of mufflers using chambers and reversing flow. A large diameter long body straight thru will work very well with the turbo to keep idle to mild throttle openings quiet, can get loud with aggressive throttle use.
My own 2.7, 4 inch cat back, no resonator, with this,

camera mounted on the bed rail

inside the cab, freeway ramp

The exhaust used,

Like it or not, it is on my truck and I do like the sound. Like a V8? No, and cannot be made to. KM

The V6 will never sound tougher. I’d leave the exhaust alone and not waste your money.

My 98 talon had a nice exhaust. But I was running 466 hp lol. 2.3 stroker and a big 20g turbo. Ran a full 3.5..

Now my R32 GT-R. That's a Dodge demon slayer.

The 3.5 and the 2.7 are not sound happy engines

Yeah but a honda lawnmowlawnmower reminds me of 2001 and the fast and furious wannabes driving around.
