Finally bought one....
After a month of shopping...I finally nailed down a deal today. After checking with six dealerships and telling them I wanted to keep my prior payment of $347., today a dealer emailed me then called , the 2015 F150 XL-window sticker is $42,500, 5.0 with trailer tow pkg and snow plow prep, sport appearance pkg ....he'd take my 2010 F150 with trailer tow pkg and appearance pkg pretty ,69.k miles ,pretty much same truck. 2010 has 3.55 gears...2015 has 3.31 gears. Both 4x4 crew cabs. $347. @ 60 months....I'm pleased. I go Monday to do the deal. I'm pleased. Allowance $20,800 for my 2010.

Well...not sure what your comment means...I'm getting a deal...or I'm getting screwed,,,or I'm a lier....it took me a month of shopping to get it. There are VERY few XL with 5.0 and plow prep and trailer tow package. Maine NH Mass....I only found three. Hundreds of XLT's ,,,But I'm poor....need a small payment. Shopped today at Londonderry NH Ford. The have a black and a white. Could only get them to $368. after driving two hrs. I walked. The on the way home. Email on the phone from a dealership I went to a week ago. That's the way the good Lord works. He takes care of us.

so 42.5 you should be able to get that down to 37k
37k - 20k is 17k-18k.
my wife just did a refi on an altima at 16 and change for 260.00.... my guess is your negotiating all wrong-. do some research. keep your trade in your back pocket and negotiate the truck price. never ever negotiate monthly payment.

Dealers love when you want to deal with monthly payments its definitely not the way to do it. Sure you can keep in mind what payment you want but you want to know how much your trade is worth, how much invoice is for the truck your buying, how much your actually going to pay for the truck.
Like stated above, you are paying 41,620 for the new truck. Thats only 880 off sticker price. Not a great deal.

He got 20K for his trade (a 5 year aold truck with almost 70K) and paying 20K for a new truck. Like he said, finding an XL that met his needs was hard to do in his area. If he is happy with the deal he got, then why are half the people here saying he got a bad deal and half saying good deal? It always comes down to those few that think they ALWAYS get a better deal than everyone else in the world and try and rain on the parade of the people who they think didnt get a good deal. Some people want a certain monthly payment. In the end if he knew exactly what he got on his trade (which he did) and the invoice of the new truck and it met his monthly need then where is the problem?
