After all this time of putting it off I finally painted my rims black. Tell me what you think.. should I leave the center cap silver? or paint it black? tell me what you think..Thanks

yeah true about the red part, I'm gonna have to sit down and mess around with it to see how to get it apart, the black would look good also. thanks for the input !

I think it looks good. Much better than what you started with.
Perhaps consider some way to demarc the wheel from the tire. I've seen where dual pin stripes have been run on the wheel part of the bead. Something along the old white Aztec wheels that had red and blue pinstripes in this area???
On the other hand, my '75 F100 had flat black rims with no hub cap, all painted flat black (lug nuts too) - that looked sinister!

I had the rust ring around the out side, so i just sanded that down, tapped off the tire, and the lug nuts, sprayed 2 coats of black, and a clear coat and let it dry and I was done
