Default Faded Plastics Restore...

What's up guys, I'm new to the forum.
I just bought an '05 F-150 FX4 and some of the plastics around the wheel wells and rubber window trim where faded and had oxidation.

I read somewhere on lifehacks to use Petroleum Vaseline on ur plastics and rubber trim to bring them back to life and WOW does it work awesome. I did it the shade cuz in the sun it was melting on me. Your plastics are petroleum based so there's no harm..

Go to the car wash and tell me how they look afterwards, or after a nice rain shower.

I have washed the truck after doing it, no problems at all. The water actually beaded up and fell off.

Trim Shine works pretty well to and will last a long time.

Mother' Back to Black works well and Turtle Wax has one too.

I'll vouch for that. It's pretty much permanent too. Don't have to keep doing it after washes. Just don't get any on the paint. Mask the paint off with tape and just wipe it on.

Maybe its ok for plastic but DO NOT use petro based stuff on tires.

I use 303. Works very good on plastics and is amazing on tires. And its water based and has uv protection. Doesnt get any better
