I love the step but never use the pole.

I wanted one for the ease of getting in and out, but I couldn't get a clear answer on the weight limit. Since I'm a big guy I didn't want to risk breaking it while I was on it.

There's actually a printed weight limit on the step sticker. I think it was 300-350. Someone with the step can go check.

Just looked at mine, it says 350lb limit. Which means it'll probably hold 400lbs. Ford giving them selves some wiggle room for legal reasons.

^^^^lol....not that i wanna tell ya's but i have come off the gate on the step and i'm 190-200 it held the impact... i use my pole now so its outta my feet..

I wonder if that's static load limit or active limit. If the 270 lb guy with 80 lbs of cement hops down onto it, that's obviously going to be more than 350lbs of force. Wonder what it's true break strength would be.
