There is to much of this country being sold off or given away to foreign investors and companies for my taste, without equal trade practices being enforced. Just my opinion, but I'm personally fed up.

Rant over. (If you want to call it that)
So you'd rather buy a vehicle made by an 'American' company that builds their vehicles in Mexico and houses their call centers in the Philippines, or one made by a 'Japanese' company that builds its trucks in TEXAS and houses its call center in the U.S., staffing BOTH with AMERICANS?
I personally couldn't give a RAT'S *** about lining the pockets of Fat Cat 'American' CEO's at the expense of American jobs. I'm more concerned about KEEPING AMERICANS WORKING. I'd rather support a company that employs AMERICANS, no matter which country its ownership is from.
Our government makes a practice of keeping Chinese an Mexican manufacturing plants in business to make a few 'Americans' MORE wealthy.
If you really want to support AMERICA, STOP BUYING FROM WALMART. They're the worlds SINGLE-BIGGEST BUYER OF CHINESE-MADE GOODS, and has single-handedly put MILLIONS of Americans OUT OF WORK.

Thank you all very much for all this input. It is very insightful and I like seeing people passionate about their trucks. As far as buying American, I guess its the lesser of 2 evils, a truck built out of country owned by American CEO's or a truck built in the country built by Japanese CEO's. IMHO I like both trucks in terms of looks, so there isn't a clear cut winner in my book on that front. A question for you guys, over on the Tundra forums, there are alot of people who have claimed to own Fords and complain of rust issues and nagging/recurring mechanical problems. Have you guys experienced this or is that a hit or miss thing with both trucks?

Toyota guys complaining about rust on fords? Thats a new one, Toyotas are notorious for rust, especially where it counts, the frame. As far as Fords not being built in America Im confused. Last I knew the F150 is built in Kansas as well as Dearborn Michigan.

Assembled there.

Lots of parts are not made in North America.

I was talking to a friend of my dad's that worked for Toyota for 30 years and recently retired. He gets a new vehicle every 9-14 months and lately it has been Tundra after Tundra. I let him drive my Ecoboost and even though he could get a Toyota for significantly less money he still went out and traded it and has no plans to go back to a Toyota truck. Ford has THE BEST on the market right now. Toyota was a very strong competitor until the 2011 Fords came out and now it has fallen back and knowing Toyota, it won't get redesigned for another few years. The points raised on the previous page are all very valid. Ford has had a SCrew 6'5" config since 2006 and stole a sh*t ton of sales with that. Manufacturers are just catching up now, almost a decade later.

EDIT: I've seen your thread over at the Tundra forums. Looks like you've made your decision..

EDIT 2: That video above, just like every other manufacturer "Prove" video is BS. Doesn't matter if it's Ford, Chevy (They're one of the worst), Toyota or Nissan. They are all rigged and I don't trust any of them.

Tundra loses to the F150 on being the most American made and assembled if you believe this article.

I agree with all your statement, I got a video on YouTube of me tearing up a buddies Tundra, he kept saying he would beat me, and this and that, it was a 5.7L with 4:30 gears(yes some Tundras come factory with 4:30 gears) vs my 5.0L with 3.30 gears, needless to say he left home pretty quiet. Hahahaha
