Just bought an f150FX4. I love the look of the Raptor grill. Are they interchangeable? Could I buy a raptor grill and have it installed on the FX4?? Just curious.

From searching around the forum, I believe the answer is no. However, there is a forum member that makes and aftermarket one, and you can definitely find some on eBay.

Assuming that the ... "Just bought an f150FX4" is a 2009+ ...

The width is the same as the regular F-150 grille, however, the height is substantially less. This due to the fact that the top mounting point where it attaches to the hood is different - top, front versus bottom, front ...A Raptor grille can be installed onto a regular F-150, however, some fabrication needs to be done to accomodate the top mounting differences.

As for me - Am currently working-on ...

• skinning the Raptor grille with a regular F-150 surround.
• fabricating brackets that will allow the Raptor grille to be attached at the top to surround.
• PTM the surround.
• apply body-color decal overlays to the F O R D letters.
  
  *The bottom mounting points are the same.

There will also need to be some fabrication to mount the lower grille due to the differences in the lower openings - the Raptor's is shorter and wider.

You can not simply swap them out. The hood of a Raptor is different than a normal F-150. You would have to buy a new hood along with the grill just to start. It might be as simple as that, or you could run into other problems as well.
