Default my truck 04 took a crap please help!!

I was on my way home driving about 40mph and my RPM Dropped to below 1000..it started running OK for about a mile n totally stalled out on me..I put a little bit of fuel in and it ran OK for about anothr mile then started to sputter and totally died..I can start it but as soon as I put it in gear and push the gas it sputters out..I've had a problem with it feeling a little sluggish going up hill and kind of a sputter..same on the highway it would stutter for a few minutes then it would run fine...I'm no mechanic by any means I've had people tell me its a fuel pump or my cat. Converter..but I'm not smelling the infamous rottten egg smell..

Sounds like your fuel pump driver module is shorting out...these trucks are notorious for it corroding to the point of leakage

^^Yep, check your fuel pump driver module on your rear axle just to the left of the differential. It is easiest checked after you remove your spare. It is most likely corroded and crumbling.

Here ye go:

It's on a frame crossmember above the spare, on the left. You'll need to drop the spare to inspect / R&R.

If ye try lookin' fer thet thar varmint on ye rear axle, ye'd n'er find 'er

Motorcraft replacement much preferred - Dorman in a pinch ( fingers crossed ).

good luck!

Just make sure it's the newer updated one, that has spacers to keeps it off the crossmemeber.

It might be a combination of fuel filter and spark plugs. Just a thought.
