Exhaust-Muffler
Greetings,
I have a 2008 FX2- 5.4. Getting tired of the silent exhaust tone. I'm looking for a more deeper throat rumble. I live in an area with tough emmish controls, so am I limited to just a muffler? Which is ok, as long as it sounds better. Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks....

I personally like Flowmasters, especially the 40 series, better flow, and a nice deep rumble. Although I've recently discovered a muffler called a Thrush Welded sold at Advance Auto Parts that is basically the same thing as the flowmaster 40 series but for a third of the cost.
I'd say if you want to pony up the cash, get a nice dual exhaust set up put on, either a true dual with two mufflers or a muffler with a single inlet and dual outlet.
Just my .02.

Do you know if you want duals or just a single exhaust? How loud do you want to make it?
I'd get on youtube and listen to videos of our trucks with magnaflow exhaust and flowmaster. Find a video you like and post a link here. That way we can help you get the right parts for it.

I say flowmaster 40 all the way thrush sounds different to me it's like 90 for the flo and 120 installed most places they have to add a small pipe in because of size difference or u can dump it and it's not much and good sound
