exhaust on a budget
Im a teenager on a tight budget but I want to put a new muffler or something on my 5.4L to make it sound better. Any suggestions on what I can get for cheap that wouldn't be to difficult to install.

I'm not sure what you call on a budget but there's a guy on eBay selling inexpensive exhaust.
I bought a muffler back system on eBay with a single inlet, dual outlet muffler and dual tailpipes for under $200.00 shipped. I had to go to a local muffler shop to buy a 24" extension pipe for an extra $10.00.
I did the whole job on a Saturday afternoon by myself in about 2 hours.

one thing to keep in mind... cheap and quality don't usually work in the same sentence.
cheap can also be damaging. best advice is to take the money you have ear marked for exhaust upgrades and put it aside, add to it when you can until you can buy something quality that will make you smile from ear to ear instead of wince and grit your teeth

$60 bucks at a local muffler shop, cut the muffler off and weld a piece of pipe in its place. I was worried it would be loud but surprisingly it's not bad at all, just the perfect volume for me.

You can find a lot of our universal mufflers—which we build with a variety of sizes, shapes, pipe diameters, and inlet/outlet positions—at competitive prices from our authorized retailers (some of whom are on this very forum). If you choose MagnaFlow, you also get the lifetime warranty that comes with all of our performance exhausts (more info on that here).
