My Eco started with great mileage but I am seeing a decline as the miles role on. My last trip running 75 netted me 13.5 there and 13.9 home. I don't expect to get the sticker but that is way off. Ford house does not know what is causing it, so ill just drive it until i trade it someday.

I like the truck but it is on its third trip this month trying to figure out what is causing vibration and noise in the driveline. First they thought it was the tsb about greasing the yoke, did not work, replaced the driveshaft this past week, did not work, now they are doing something with the rear end this next trip.

What's the current mileage on your truck, bcangelo? I'd like to look into this.

I know they are trying everything they can, it is just hard to be down a vehicle.

I understand how you'd be frustrated, bcangelo. I want to escalate this to your regional customer service manager so they can help. To make that happen, send me a private message (PM) with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.

Window Sticker M.P.G.
This is the average for Government Drivers. Not real World drivers.
Who in their right mind goes 48 M.P.H. on the highway? Government Drivers.
Who would find a City route where you have to stop 18 times & idle for four minutes? Government Drivers, doing Feel Good tests that don't matter to the average Joe or Jane? The unqualified, leading the unwilling, doing the unnecessary.
If you purchased a Vehicle based on the Window Sticker Mileage would you purchase a Truck?
The Window Sticker is there to guide you on what you may expect.
I've always got more mileage than the Window Sticker says.
I live in Colorado. City & Mountain driving. City is fairly flat compared to the Mountains.
I can drive up to Alma, our Cabin, Zip 80420, & get 16 to 18 M.P.G. Drive home & get 22.7 M.P.G. Only two very steep hills going home. Does my truck average 22.7 M.P.G.--No it doesn't, but the Center stack says it does. At least going down hill & up a couple of hills for 80 miles or so.
the Window Sticker is Printed on a piece of paper & worth about Two dollars a Ton?
I'm very pleased with my 2014 Lariat, 2060 miles on it. 3.5 Twin Turbos.
Side bar,
i trades my 2012 FX-4 for my 2014. It neeed Tires & had some Hail damage.
My Front end would wobble at 65 miles per hour. Took it to my Ford dealed. They Re-Balanced the tires. Problem fixed. Some of the weights came off. H.D. four wheeling in the rocks above timberline.
it doesn't hurt to look at you tires & balancing.
As Roy Roger says., Happy trails.

Think of the poor in Florida where the max elevation is 314 feet in the entire state. No fuel savings there. Higher flat elevations get better mileage. than lower flat elevations. I love driving in Wyoming. My little 4 cylinder Escape gets 25 in western Oregon highways, 30 in Wyoming. Gas is cheaper and goes further in Wyoming. Unfortunately I recall snow on the 4th of July in Cody and while that is kind of rare no one from Wyoming is shocked by that. Not many corners with gas stations either, You need to carry two sets of chains, tow strap or log chain, one or two shovels, sleeping bags and extra food and water, in case you end up spending 72 hours in a snowbank somewhere.

In the Summer it is beautiful...to me anyway.
Stay high and get better mileage

Default Mileage

Yea... B.S. I WAS getting 24.8-25.2 mpg's the during thr first tank, I now average 19.8-20 mpg's. I do a significant amount of Highway 45 here, But I was hoping for much better with the 3.7L V6. I guess it is not bad. But hell I would rather have 385/387 (5.0 official specs in the 2015 model) and loose 5 MPG'S to gain all that MUSCLE! I am getting the '15 model even though my truck is 32 days old. I PLANNED this so in Spring, the '14 is out and the '15 comes home with me...

I would love a '15 but I don't have 20,000 miles on my '12 so I'll have to use it some more. The Warden loves the backseat room as she rides back there so she can truly be a "Backseat Driver" (She has a nerve that gives her fits and the back seat is easier on her) Mine is equipped as well as a Platinum or nearly so and I like keeping things longer. And there is the money thing, my '12 is paid for, I would have to come up with significant cash for the difference (Similar trim and options). I won't finance it.
