Electric door locks wont work
Hello,
All of a sudden the electric door locks quit working today.
I used the key pad to get into the truck, but when i got back out they no longer worked.
The interior lights still come on when either i use the remote or the key pad on the door, but there is no noise. The lock unlock button doesn't work on either door, also the lights on the key pad on drivers door don't light up anymore. I already pulled the switches out to check connections.
Does anybody have an idea of what went wrong with the locks?
Thanks, Steve

Hello,
Thanks for the advice. I went back & check book again & there was a second fuse for door locks. It was bad, replaced it and everything is fine.
Thanks again,
Steve

I was having a problem with my locks and was ready to pull the cylinders and replace them in my f-150. I had broken the fob remote and was left only with the keys. It is a 1998 so dealer no longer has codes. Called a locksmith and they said bring it by and they would see if they could decode the keys. The came out and sprayed the drivers door with some stuff and it opened right up. I bought a can, now the key unlocks both doors and the tail gate which before would not work at all. The stuff is called CorrosionX. Cost me just over 10 bucks, but better than 75 and me doing all that labor. Hope this helps.
