Just think, next year it will be aluminum vs steel threads. Haters will say no way a aluminum truck will last and hold up long term

Griff you stir the pot way too much and the eco guys are notorious for being thin skinned.

Or this. I am out on this thread. I stated all along I like both but these threads always degenerate into a pissing contest and call out match.

My aplogies Griff it's not just you its a generalized thing about these threads for some reason that they devolve beyond rational discussions

It's all good. I'm with you, I like both engines. I tend to be optimistic and open-minded about the EB long term. It was a good discussion for a while.

Like you I am hopeful too for the eco for two reasons, I own one in my Lincoln and a lot of family and friends work in the plant in Lima making the 2.7. I worry more about that engine than the 3.5. I fear it will be closer to full boost all the time while towing.

I'm not "attacking" the EB, I think it's a very "capable" engine. I'm "attacking" those that insist it is a "better" engine than the 5.0. It all depends on what you require of and expect from your engine. Better for some isn't better for all.

It's like comparing apples and oranges. I will tell you now that oranges ARE BETTER than apples and what you think doesn't matter because that's the way it is!
