Default Eco-boost install

Just wondering, how hard would it be to mount Eco-boost on my 3.7 V6? I bought the truck used but I need a little more pulling power, no I don't want a 302! I like the torquey feel of the little 6 but it is just a little on the weak side for towing anything over 5000 #'s. Anybody ever done this before?

I've never really thought about it, but why not just add some turbo's to your non-ecoboost v6?

If you knew your were going to be towing over 5000 lbs regularly, you made a mistake in getting the 3.7 Would be cheaper and more reliable to simply trade it for what you need.

Now where is the "fun" in that? I didn't know I was going to fall in love with camping again or I would have opted for the E boost! I like this truck too much to trade it! I'm just asking the question, doesn't mean I'm actually going to do it!

More than it's worth. A twin turbo setup is probably 10-15k if they even make one for the 3.7. And then it wouldn't even be direct injected.

Some companies make superchargers for the 3.7 in the mustang, but they're still very expensive.

You could trade the truck for the ecoboost and probably still end up on top.

Maybe a visit to a wrecker would yield a suitable donor. That way you would have most everything needed in one place, have your old parts to sell plus whatever else left over from the donor.

Since trading is cheaper than boosting your engine, your rant makes no sense....

Why not try a tuner with a custom tune? Might be just the ticket for that little bit more oomph you want.
