The bottom right behind plastic air dam on drivers side has a black plastic flap that drops with 4 white plastic turn pins. I put the front on ramps and oil only drains out the back side of the filter catch tray(it has two channels front and back) I use a metal filter socket that fits the filter groves with 3/8" drive wrench. My biggest issue was draining the oil. It would hit the sway bar and splash everywhere and make a big mess. I had enough and put on a fumoto drain valve so I can just drain straight in a container with vinyl tube.

I agree 1000% Biggest pos place to put a drain plug. I'll do 10 of these oil filters instead of 1 drain plug

I did pick up a Fumoto valve, waiting for the next OC to install it.

Ya I did it through the bottom flap at first couldn't reach really. tips of my fingers. Then I tried from the top. Then I slid under again and slid further under to reach my left hand (i'm left handed) and got it start spinning off and then it's like a race to move before the hot oil comes out the funnel in your face.

Take it to the dealer? Somehow my dealer changes it for less than I can buy 6 qts of semi-syn oil and a filter for ($25/change when I bought 3 changes), and I just walk across the street and have breakfast while they deal w/ the hot oil!

Did you have on ramps or was it on the ground? I have about 6" ramps(plastic ramps from fleet farm) and I've never had a drop come out the front part of drip tray it goes out back through the hole in skid plate, just have to remember to remove the rubber plug. Just a suggestion to avoid oil flood.
