Is it the type that's on your windshield or on your license plate?

You shouldn't have to pay a fine. You should have the option of just paying the toll with your ez pass account when you get the notice. At least that's how it works in NH.

I have 3 vehicles registered with EZ Pass in NY. If I forget my pass the toll both takes a picture of my license plate and the toll is deducted from my account.
Personally, I'd contest the fine and tell them the transmitter is defective.

Your ezpass battery might be going bad
tell them to send a new one.
Go to ezpass website and register that truck with them
I have 3 pass's and am running 5 vehicle's with no problem.
The only time I'll get ticket is if I don't have the pass but have a trailer thats not registerd with them...then you just go
online and put in your # and its taken care of

Yeh IL has an iPass and you just call or go online to take care of it if you already have an account.

The same goes for PA. Just give them your transponder number. Your unit must not have been picked up by the signal.

We run them in all our Peterbilts so I don't think your vehicles height is the issue *most* of the readers are up high so the extra height from the lift should actually help.....Try a different lane if the toll booths have more than one lane, slow down, or use the lane that has an attendant in it....

I've had to take mine out of the windshield and hand it to the attendant before so they could manually enter the number off it which slows down the process and is a PIA I know..
