Parts counter guy tried to tell my my Superduty had 2 O2 sensors to replace. It only had 1. One had been deleted with my dual exhaust set-up. He told me it still had 2, even though I explained the headers and system I had. It was about 25 degrees outside and ice and slush all over. I told him he was more than welcome to go lay under my truck and look for a second O2 sensor. He took my word at that point and sold me the one I needed. This is all after providing him the part # I needed.

Guy at work said the same thing to me about his Chevy 1500. Huge lift kit, big knobby tires, every single tacky *** chrome accessory that AutoZone sells. Said his POS could out haul and our run my F150. Proved him wrong on both accounts. The out run was the funniest because By the time we got to the end of the designated mile I had enough time to stop, put it in park, and get out before he reached me. He backed out of the wager and refused to put the "Pavement Princess" plate on his truck.

I don't know if this counts as something someone "said", but the Ford dealership had my Sunset Metallic truck listed as Race Red... and since I was specifically excluding red from my searches, it wasn't showing up when I looked on cars.com or autotrader. If I hadn't taken a random Sunday afternoon drive, I'd probably be driving an Acura MDX right now.

the MDX and it's relatives are paying for my F150. I've been looking at a 2021 MDX for a few weeks now. Though I will never buy one.

Forgot another good one. Raced this Titan one day, and someone got on yikyak (anonymous posting app if anyone didn't know) and was like "To the guy in the F-150 on Harvey that was racing the Titan I saw y'all and he could have smoked you." That was about 2 years ago in my 07 that was leveled on 35's with the 5.4. The Titan was two wheel drive on street tires. I don't think I was even tuned yet and I beat him. Lol. That Titan wouldn't have smoked me.

Prior to this he was unable to talk any specifics about tow package, Gear Ratio, Hitch rating... But was enamored that the truck had electric windows and locks, a CD radio that could play MP3s (but didnt now how the SYNC worked), and a full size spare...
HAHAH Great reply. Both of my sales experiences have been very poor when trying to get details regarding towing capacity those specifics. Very much the sales people want to concentrate on the things you can see. That probably is the right approach for most buyers.
