Good idea, drozlee; come back and let us know what you find out. I'll be here if you need any help.

Any news from the dealership today, Pal216? How many miles are on your truck currently?

The dealer said my coolant line running to the driver side turbo needed replaced. Something about the quick disconnect was bad. They ordered the part but did not know when it would arrive. Currently I have right around 33,500 miles on the truck.

Thanks for the reply Ford Service. Leaks are not acceptable. I called my dealer to move my appointment to WED next week. They appear to be very receptive in resolving the issue. The purpose of my post was to see if folks was experiencing leaks with their TURBO's. I've seen posts relating to the turbo oil line. Mine is dry. Also forgot to mention of where the leak appears to be coming from. The tube that connects to the compressor side (air filter side) of the turbo is wet and dripping down on top of the front DIF input shaft housing. I'll let everyone know the outcome.

Thanks again. It's great to have a forum where we all can get feedback from a Ford community.

If you'd like, I can escalate this to your regional customer service manager, Pal216. They can check out the availability of the part and ensure your repair goes smoothly. To get started, PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll do the rest.

Good, drozlee, it sounds like your dealer is taking good care of you. I'll stick around this thread to see if you need my help.

So I went to the dealer this afternoon to pick up my truck since they said the parts came in this morning and it would be ready in the afternoon. Well, the service advisor came to the desk with a rental agreement. Turns out the truck was not ready. The reason....the turbo was shot and needed replaced. Keep in mind the dealer told me 2 days ago nothing was wrong and I could come in and pick up my truck. I am beyond words. As of today the turbo is on back order and it will be ready to ship on 1/28 but no guarantees.

So now I have a loaner and my truck is sitting torn apart in the garage until they have the parts.

To top it off, my wife and I drove a 2015 expedition one week ago and now I wonder if I want to give ford anymore of my business. Not because my truck is down for service but due to the fact their service department is pathetic.

They prob knew something was wrong and hoped it went wrong out of warranty, hence, more $$$ in their pocket for out of warranty repairs. Just my .02

Just thought I would mention a few things: 1) Those "minions" spend a LOT of time and personal money getting constant training so they can know how to fix your "baby". 2) you know how you p_ss and moan and complain when you pull into the service isle? you wonder why they don't wave a wrench at your vehicle and everything is magically hunky-dory?- Both the SOB before and after you does the same thing, AND their boss is pushing back against your wishes- THROUGH them, in the opposite direction-just as hard, and NASTIER than you. 3) JUST LIKE every other company in the world today, vehicle manufacturers are going to JIT for their parts inventory- it's not personal, they don't stock the TPMS sensors I need for my wife's mustang either- that's life in the big city, folks. So when you rant about service, think: "If that was me, I'ed do it different". Then think how quickly you would be fired.

^^^^
I think the issue here is the dealership says nothing is wrong with your vehicle but after the customer/owner was being persistent they find a major issue. It's quite obvious somebody did not do their job. Instead of trying to get the next vehicle in to make another buck, why don't we do a thorough investigation of what the customers complaint is that way they don't have to come back in because our lack of knowledge on the vehicle we are supposedly certified to work on.
So yes I would be pissed off to!
